The first things that comes to mind when I think of roller shades are the old vinyl rollers my grandmother had at her house when I was a kid. No matter how much we struggled, it was always impossible to get the shades to be the height that we wanted, and they were not very attractive to look at. I am excited to report that roller shades have come quite a ways over the years and are much more in tune with today’s design trends. This project features Hunter Douglas Designer Roller Shades throughout a new home in Springfield, NJ. Roller shades come in a variety of fabrics, colors and patterns making them extremely versatile for any room of the house. This family choose a square top head rail and a soft linen fabric in a light gray to compliment their other design elements in the home. While Hunter Douglas Roller Shades have a variety of operating systems, this project shows two of the most common: a beaded cord loop and PowerView motorization.
