A family-run design-build studio creating motorized pergolas and outdoor rooms that quietly outperform New England weather — for a handful of Massachusetts homes each season.
Aesthetics and engineering, paired deliberately and tailored to the lines of your home.
The quietest motors, the best finishes, and rain, sun, and wind sensors that do the thinking for you.
Structures built for the way you actually live — dinner parties in July, rainy Octobers, and everything between.
Seamlessly integrated indoor-outdoor rooms to use year round.
Breslow is a four-generation, 102-year-old family business — founded in 1924. The studio began as a retail paint shop, grew into a regional practice for custom blinds and retractable awnings, and has quietly evolved into a white-glove design-build firm serving luxury homeowners across the Northeast. One family, one hundred years, one craft at a time.
Today the fourth generation is focused on a single specialty: designing and building motorized louvered roof systems that integrate seamlessly into luxury shingle-style shore homes. The Massachusetts atelier brings that century of craftsmanship to the cedar-shake vernacular of Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard, and to the colonial and shingle-style estates of the Boston western suburbs, North Shore, and South Shore. By appointment only — one project per season, per region.
Each project starts with a conversation and a site walk — not a catalog. The work that follows is quiet, precise, and owner-supervised from first sketch through final walk-through. Structures are engineered to 190 mph wind, PE-stamped in every jurisdiction we work in, and finished to architectural standards. Motorized, integrated, and invisible when you don't need them.

Most louvered roof dealers hand you one aluminum kit. Breslow draws the structure to the lines your house already has. Our focus is the shingle-style shore home — the cedar-shake Nantucket, Hamptons, and Cape Cod vernacular where cedar, dormers, and wraparound porches define the architecture. Pergolas that read as original to the home, not bolted onto it. Classic, transitional, or modern, we detail to the house.
Curious how one home could go two ways? Drag the handle — same footprint, two architectural directions.

After evaluating every major louvered roof system in the category, we partnered with Azenco — a French manufacturer whose structures are aerospace-grade aluminum, hurricane-tested, and carry the only 25-year structural warranty in North America. Not a preference. A floor.
190 mph wind rating. Integrated drainage. PE-stamped drawings in every state we operate in.
Marine-grade aluminum, powder-coated in over 200 architectural finishes, with stainless hardware throughout.
Silent direct-drive motors, rain and wind sensors, and integration with Control4, Lutron, and your phone.
A one-on-one conversation with our design team to understand the house, the site, and what you want the space to feel like. Projects typically range from $50,000 to $250,000+. Complimentary and confidential.
