B2 Bistro is a New Jersey restaurant brand with locations across the state. The North Brunswick location's patio needed a coverage solution that extended the operating calendar through every season — without breaking the brand's clean, contemporary architectural language.
Ownership wanted the structure to read as if it had always been part of the building: white frame to match the existing trim, integrated drainage, no visible mechanicals, and the louvered system controlling sun and rain without the staff thinking about it.
Middlesex County commercial code required PE-stamped engineering for the wind loads in both open and closed louver states. The system also needed to clear the existing building soffit and integrate with the existing electrical service.

Breslow specified the Azenco SkyTilt™ motorized louvered roof in a white finish to match the existing B2 architectural trim. Aluminum louvers tilt for sun and ventilation, then close against rain — fully automated. The white finish disappears into the building's existing color palette rather than adding a competing material.
Engineering was stamped for North Brunswick wind and snow loads. The structural attachment was designed to clear the existing building soffit without requiring façade modification. Integrated drainage routes water through the columns into the existing site drainage.
