We designed and installed a custom Azenco R-Blade™ motorized louvered roof system, scaled to the outdoor kitchen footprint and engineered for coastal Long Island wind exposure. The aluminum R-Blade louvers rotate 90 degrees at the touch of a button — opening fully for cooking heat to escape, closing tight for rain or salt-air storms, and adjusting to any angle in between. An integrated rain sensor closes the louvers automatically when weather rolls in, and the structure is rated to a 165 mph wind load to handle Suffolk County coastal conditions.
